Faculty of Mathematics – Statistics welcomed and worked with Gen Re reinsurance company (ASEAN and Japanese branches)
On the afternoon of August 24, 2022, Faculty of Mathematics – Statistics had the pleasure to welcome representatives of Gen Re (ASEAN and Japan branches) to visit and work at the office of Faculty of Mathematics – Statistics B1.1008, No. 279 Nguyen Tri Phuong, Ward 5, District 10.
General Reinsurance Corporation (Gen Re) is an American multinational reinsurance company that provides a wide range of reinsurance products and services. Gen Re is present in many of the major reinsurance markets worldwide through a network of more than 40 offices and over 3,578 employees. Gen Re is a member of the Berkshire Hathaway Inc group of companies. On the afternoon of August 24, 2022, representatives of Gen Re (ASEAN and Japan branches) included Mr. Dirk Nieder (Regional Director South East Asea and Japan), Mr. Timothy Chong (Senior Marketing Actuary) and Mr. Martin Dao (Marketing Actuary) ) visited and worked with the Department of Mathematics – Statistics at the office of the Faculty of Mathematics – Statistics B1.1008, No. 279 Nguyen Tri Phuong, Ward 5, District 10. Welcoming the delegation was Dr. Tran Thi Tuan Anh, Vice Dean of Faculty of Mathematics – Statistics and MSc. Bui Thi Le Thuy, Deputy Head of Mathematical Economics Department, Director of the training program on Risk Analysis and Insurance amortization. In this working session, the two sides had an open exchange to find out suitable forms that the company can support for students who are majoring in Risk Analysis and Insurance amortization in particular and students Department of Mathematics – Statistics in general.
